WAVE MathMates Registration Now OPEN!
The ever-popular Math Mates Camp will be back again this year and will take place during the month of June.
MathMates will begin its third year on June 2-5, 2025, and is open for kids going into 4th and 5th grade in the Fall of 2025.
About the MathMates class:
- It is FREE. If you would like to make a $25 donation, you are welcome to do so.
- Takes place at Robert Down Elementary School in the BASRP room.
- Will run from 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Monday - Thursday.
Your student must either attend Forest Grove or Robert Down, or be a Pacific Grove resident.

What is The WAVE Math Mates Program?
The program is for kids who are going into 4th and 5th grades. You must live in Pacific Grove or go to a PGUSD school.
Math Wave MATES, is a math enrichment program designed to expose rising 4th and 5th grade students to critical thinking skills and grade-level content that will expand their mathematical horizons. Founded under the premise that anyone can become good at math, Math Wave MATES welcomes learners of all kinds and talent-levels. This program offers students the opportunity to develop problem-solving skills through stimulating lessons, riddles, and puzzles.
WAVE 2024 MathMates Class Largest Yet!
The Wave Program Summer Camp season has officially begun! On Monday, June 3, at Robert Down Elementary School, over 50 Forest Grove and RHD student were in attendance and taking part in the MathMates program that is in its third year.

MathMates founder, Cristopher Rosas, a former PGHS Alumni who now attends Harvard University, is leading the week-long four-hour daily program that helps kids learn to like math by making it fun!
