Math Mates, Wave Writers Classes Held June 1-4

2026 Wave Writers

The highly popular Math Mates and Wave Writers held their summer programs last week, June 1-4, 2026. A total of 23 kids from 4th and 5th grades attended the four-day learning environments held at the BASRP Room at Robert Down Elementary School.

Thanks to Conor O'Brien, the lead teacher of both the Math Mates and Wave Writers classes, and to his assistants, Sue Moore, Riley O'Brien, and Gigi Valenzuela, for their time helping Conor.

Conor stated, "Thank you to all the parents who enrolled their kids in the program. I hope they all had a great time. They all seemed to have lots of fun learning new math and writing skills through projects, lectures, and games. All the kids are very smart and picked up challenging topics quickly, so encourage them to keep learning! Thanks again to all the kids and parents. We hope to see you at The WAVE Program later this summer".

A total of 17 students attended both Math Mates and Wave Writers, and 6 others attended one camp or the other. Congratulations to all who attended and had a great time learning!
